Indicative band: 2.2–7.4 million RWF, supplied and installed.

Our units are built as an outdoor-rated cabinet with a titanium heat exchanger — titanium because the water is cold, circulating and often ozonated, and stainless pits under exactly those conditions. The cabinet carries a display, a circulation pump and insulated hoses that connect low in the tub wall so nothing crosses the rim to trip over.
We set it up to run in cycles rather than continuously: hold the setpoint, let the insulated lid do the overnight work, and the compressor gets a life expectancy instead of a warranty period.
A chiller needs air. Boxed into a cupboard with no throughput it will run hot, lose capacity and fail early. We give it a shaded position with clearance on the grille side, out of the afternoon sun, and we run the hoses buried or boxed so nobody catches a foot on them.
On a hillside plot in Kigali the usual place is a niche cut into the retaining wall below the tub, which puts gravity on the side of the circulation and hides the unit completely.
Coils clog with dust in the dry season, especially near an unpaved road. We service on a six-month cycle: clean the condenser, check refrigerant pressures, replace the cartridge, test the ozone cell. It takes an hour and it is the difference between a chiller that lasts eight years and one that dies in three.
Yes, if parts are obtainable. Bring us the model number before you buy, though — half the units we are asked to fix were two sizes too small for the tub they were sold with.
Roughly a domestic air conditioner's outdoor unit. On a tight plot in Nyarutarama where neighbours are close, we position it behind the retaining wall and it disappears.
An insulated tub with a lid holds temperature for many hours, so short outages are invisible. The unit restarts on its own when power returns.
