Peaks, not averages

A club here does not need a recovery zone sized on its membership. It needs one sized on the ninety minutes after training or after a fixture, when everybody arrives at once. We count the squad, not the roster, and usually land on more plunge positions and a smaller sauna than the owner first imagined. A rugby or football squad of twenty-five finishing together needs four tubs or a sunken pool, whatever the membership list says.

Hotels here fill in event weeks and run quiet in between, which makes a thermal suite that can be part-closed attractive: separate isolation on each room, so a single sauna runs on a Tuesday and the whole suite opens on a Saturday.

Fixtures also bring visiting teams and touring performers who want recovery facilities for a few nights only. A hotel with two chilled plunge tubs and a sauna on its spa floor can offer exactly that to a travelling squad — a plain booking argument whenever the arena calendar is full.

Access and delivery

Remera's main roads are paved and wide, and most venues and hotels have a service yard, so the delivery itself is straightforward. Timing is the constraint: on match and concert days the streets around Amahoro and BK Arena close or jam for hours, so we book deliveries and noisy work away from the fixture list.

Inside commercial buildings, the service lift and the corridor turns decide the size of each crate. We measure both during the survey, and the panels and tubs are specified to fit — far easier than finding out at the lift door.
