Build your own indicative quote

Pick what you want and the calculator sizes the heater and the chiller the way we would, using cabin volume, glazed area and Kigali's altitude. The band it shows is indicative — the real number needs your plot.

Indicative only. The real number needs your plot, your access route and your board.

How the sizing works

The same arithmetic we use in a real quote

Heater capacity starts at 0.85 kW per cubic metre of insulated cabin, multiplied by 1.12 for altitude, then has glazed area added at roughly 0.42 kW per square metre because glass loses heat far faster than an insulated wall. The result is rounded up to the next heater we can actually buy.

Chiller selection follows tub volume: 1 HP to about 260 litres, 2 HP to about 570, 4 HP beyond. Kigali's cool nights mean the unit cycles less than the same one would at the coast.

Anything above 8 kW wants a three-phase supply. REG charges the same RWF 56,000 meter fee for single or three phase, so the cost is in the cabling from your board.
